Since 2023, more than 450 participants have completed the Perth USAsia Centre’s microcredential course on geopolitics. These learners are typically working professionals, employed in a wide variety of sectors and take the course to upskill in contemporary themes relating to Australia’s international outlook. These learners tell us that they want to know more about Australia’s economics, security and relations with key partners including USA, China, India, Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Vietnam and specifically want to understand how these things impact their lives and their work.
Given our cohorts enrol in the course because it is short (50 hours spread over 10 weeks), fully online (asynchronous with optional live sessions) and well regarded (credentialed by a top 100 ranked university), how do we make sure we meet or exceed their expectations? This presentation will list the tools, technologies and techniques that have proved most impactful with these professional learners.
