I am Jing Shen, and I started my role as a Digital Services Librarian at John Kinder Theological library in 2023. Before that, I served as a Science Subject Librarian at University of Otago Library and worked several roles at Library and Learning Services, The University of Auckland. In addition to my library experiences, I had five years teaching experiences in higher education in China.

My current research interests include personalised learning, information-seeking behaviour, digital literacy and learner engagement. I have published my MIS dissertation: “Flipping the classroom for information literacy instruction” (June 2018, Journal of Information Literacy), and presented at various conferences.

At John Kinder Theological Library, I collaborate on projects that enhance the integration of technology within library services, especially initiatives that foster user engagement and support the growing community of distance learners.
