Mr. Burkhart has worked over 30 years in higher Education. His career includes 15 years as a college administrator in a variety of institutions including, a land grant institution, a community college and two selective private institutions. Most recently Mr. Burkhart was University Director of Student Financial Assistance at Loyola University Chicago. After leaving Loyola Chicago, Joe worked 10 years for BearingPoint Inc. Beginning when the firm was named KPMG Peat Marwick through KPMG Consulting to its public held iteration of BearingPoint. During his tenure with KPMG / BearingPoint he delivered strategic direction advice and consulting services to institutions on ERP, CRM and Student Information System implementation projects.
In January 2005 Mr. Burkhart joined Oracle as Director of Higher Education Solutions. His role at Oracle is to constantly keep abreast of the emerging trends, pressures and obstacles confronting higher education and identify technology solutions that can support an institutions success through these challenges. Through this role, Joe meets with scores of higher education institutions every year, learning about their emerging business needs and challenges, advising on ways technology can improve both efficiency and effectiveness across all the operations of higher education striving for institutional excellence, increasing student success and improving the student experience.
