Gillian Hallam is Manager, Information & Digital Literacy, Learning and Research Services, The University of Queensland Library. In this role Gillian is responsible for developing strategy and policy for information and digital literacy initiatives across the academic community. Gillian is Adjunct Professor with Queensland University of Technology, recognising her academic career as an educator and researcher. In recent years, Gillian has been involved in a range of consultancy activities with National and State libraries, public libraries, academic libraries, and special libraries, focusing on the future skills requirements of library and information professionals.

Dr Amberyn Thomas

Amberyn Thomas is the Associate Director, Scholarly Communication and Repository Services, Learning and Research Services, The University of Queensland Library. Amberyn has been immersed in the university sector for more than 25 years in diverse roles, including as a post-graduate student, lecturer and business development manager. She has extensive experience in research administration, grants administration and initiatives to evaluate research quality. A current focus of her work within the UQ Library is the provision of advice and services to researchers and managers across UQ in areas such as metrics and impact, research data management, repository services, and strategic scholarly publishing.

Bill Beach
Manager, Centre for Digital Scholarship

Bill Beach is Manager, Centre for Digital Scholarship at The University of Queensland Library.  Bill has enjoyed a long career in academic libraries, focusing on special collections with the Fryer Library at UQ and teaching and learning support for students and staff in the social sciences and humanities. In his current role, Bill is responsible for managing the spaces, technology and support for digital scholarship, working closely with the creators and curators of digital content.
