Douglas Harré

REANNZ Chief Engagement Manager, New Zealand


Douglas Harré is the REANNZ Chief Engagement Manager. He works alongside our members to help them get the best value out of their REANNZ connection and to enable them to achieve their strategic vision.

Douglas has spent the last 25 years working at the intersection of education and technology and joined REANNZ from the Ministry of Education in mid-2013. While at the ministry he worked on a wide range of broadband and eLearning initiatives in schools in New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

In other seemingly distant lives, Douglas has been a high school geography and outdoor education teacher, a professional raft guide, a bicycle mechanic in London, an aid worker in the Solomon Islands, a tree planter in Canada and an ICT consultant for the World Bank in Egypt. He has a B.Sc in Geography from the University of Canterbury.
