The Aotea Centre is designed around specially commissioned works by some of New Zealand’s most famous contemporary artists. This emphasis on design, together with large expanses of space bathed in natural daylight, make it an ideal conference location. The centre boasts the latest technology throughout. All spaces have both wired and wireless connections.

THETA 2017 is a large conference requiring multiple rooms, and the centre’s data-linked rooms are ideal. New Zealand’s largest modern tiered auditorium is housed at The Aotea Centre, seating more than 2,000 people over three levels. Take a peek at the 360 degree view of all levels at the venue, above.
The centre is located towards the top end of Queen Street in Auckland’s CBD, and is well connected to transport and ferry terminals. Several car parking buildings are nearby, including one directly below the centre.
Aotea Centre is positioned close to a wide selection of accommodation and is surrounded by a multitude of dining and entertainment options and is is conveniently close to both host universities, the Welcome Reception venue, at Auckland University of Technology and not far from the Gala Dinner venue at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre.
